Hiking
In the 18th century, the citizens of Västervik were obliged to maintain a certain number of boatmen for the Swedish Navy. The boatmen were assigned to the Tjust båtsmanskompani, which covered the stretch of coast from Östgötagränsen to what is now Oskarshamn. To earn their living, the boatmen were assigned a cabin for themselves and their families.
