    Road cycling

The climb to the Gavia Pass (2618 m) from Bormio is one of the longest and most challenging in the Alps. It is about 25 km for 1400 m of altitude difference with the steepest slopes after Santa Caterina Valfurva. The road is narrow in some places and has some tunnels.
