In the 1870s it was renovated in a classicist style.
In the 20th century the building was used as a hospital and then as a hotel and in 2003 the castle was converted into luxury apartments.
The watermill at the castle in traditional brick and sandstone style dates from the second half of the 18th century.
The complex has been a protected monument since 1979.

Welcome to the majestic Castle d'Overschie or Neerijse Castle. This protected monument in classicist style from the 18th century was originally a hunting pavilion, in the 20th century a hospital and later a hotel. Luxury apartments were built there at the beginning of this century. Do your legs feel a bit tired after our adventure in the Doode Bemde? Then that is the ideal excuse to relax in Baron's House. This Bed & Breakfast has a unique location in part of the coach house of Neerijse Castle.
