The first winner of the Egmond Half Marathon (1973). Every year in January. Also try the combination with the beach race the day before.

Running
What surprises me here is that the highlight is listed as a hiking highlight but not as a running highlight, even though the NN Egmond Halve Marathon takes place here every year.
The original Wikipedia page can be found here:
nl.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halve_marathon_van_Egmond
It was only through the statue that I became aware of the event.
Maybe I'll run here sometime? Registration for 2025 seems to be closed now (beginning of June 2024), so you apparently have to decide early.
Addendum: registration wasn't even open yet, but I've already planned another event for that date.

Alright, I've managed to secure a starting spot. The next Egmond half marathon takes place on Sunday, January 10, 2027, and registration seems to have opened today. So I'm in✌️😃
