There was probably a church on the site of the current building in the early Middle Ages, but it was destroyed by a village fire. The reconstruction of the church began in 1513, and some parts of it from that time have been preserved. The current building was built in 1674-75 by Abraham I Dünz. The church is a front tower church with a five-eighth choir. There are round windows above the two side portals, a baptismal font that probably dates back to the pre-Reformation period stands in the choir area, and there are important late Baroque grisaille paintings around the round arched windows.
