The grotto was created at the same time as the manor house. Not far from the villa, it is somewhat hidden in the forest. The gentlemen wanted a romantic place. The grotto is of the same design as the famous monkey rock in the Hagenbeck Zoo. Schäfer Ast from Radbruch also decorated his garden with such an extraordinary building.
