'For decades, there were so-called catacombs there, i.e. a passage running largely below street level of several hundred brick cells built in the 1950s, used mainly for storing coal. It was built in place of the demolished outbuildings and farm buildings at the back of the houses on the southern side. There were several steps leading to this ditch, and the passage was paved with trilinka.

Nevertheless, the catacombs were becoming more and more scary, they were not functional and had a negative impact on the perception of the entire space. The city decided to get rid of them. In place of the demolished and buried cells, it was decided to create a paved, illuminated passage with small architecture and low greenery. To preserve the memory of the place, the alley was laid out with different levels, and on one section about 20 cells, or rather their dummies, were rebuilt.
