The monument in Hunsel (municipality of Leudal) consists of a boulder on which a V-sign and a small model bomber are attached. The V-sign consists of one of the support beams of the Lancaster's wings. The image of the bomber was cast from parts of one of the engines found in the area. The whole stands on a brick base made of natural stone. A memorial plaque is attached to the boulder. The monument stands on a circular stone square.
The monument was unveiled on 4 May 2009 by the deputy mayor of the municipality of Leudal, Mr A.J.M. Walraven.
