Johann Jakob Wilhelm Heinse, actually Heintze, born. on February 15, 1746 in Langewiesen, Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach; died June 22, 1803 in Aschaffenburg) was a German writer, scholar and librarian. Although a contemporary of Wieland and Goethe, his literary work is now more in the memory of literary connoisseurs, which does not necessarily say something about the quality. If you feel like getting to know an author who did not make it into the halls of fame, but led an interesting life, and also shaped a piece of our culture, that should come here.
