The Slikken van Flakkee form the natural transition from the water of the Grevelingen to the island of Goeree-Overflakkee between Goedereede and Herkingen in the Dutch province of South Holland. The total area consists of approximately 1500 ha. mud flats and salt marshes, and from 1250 ha. water shallower than 2.5 meters. The bank length is approximately 20 km. The width of the area varies between 500 and 2500 meters.
