Abel Frans (Rumst, April 7, 1899 – April 30, 1962) was a Belgian musician and composer. He composed, among other things, the melody De grrommelpot and songs for Bobbejaan Schoepen. He also composed the operettas Heibloemeke and De Meikoningin.
He started working for organ builder Mortier in the 1920s. He founded a cabaret group (De lustige krekels, in which Yvonne Verbeeck was active) and an operetta company (Rupel en Nete) in the Rupel region. He also worked as a sexton and as a café owner.
A square is named after him in Rumst.
