At the end of the 17th century, had rectangular fish ponds built, which in 1820 were redesigned into two large, oval field ponds. The Löwenbrücke at a small overflow separates the Hohen Feldteich from the Niedere Feldteich. The royal family (i.e. the high lords) swam in the "High Pond", and the staff bathed in the "Lower Pond".
