Porta Westfalica Airport (also called Vennebeck Airport, ICAO code: EDVY) is an airfield in Porta Westfalica (Minden-Lübbecke district). It is located both north and east of the Weser on the Weser bend in an old, renaturalized gravel area. A few kilometers to the north rise the Wiehen and Weser mountains with Porta Westfalica in between, whose name the airfield bears. In addition to Porta Westfalica, which is about four kilometers to the northeast, neighboring cities include Bad Oeynhausen, about four kilometers to the southwest, Vlotho, seven kilometers to the south, and Minden, about ten kilometers to the north. The airfield is officially called Porta Westfalica Airfield (EDVY). It has an 860-meter-long asphalt runway and a 1000-meter-long grass runway and is 45 meters above sea level. The airfield is used primarily by the air sports clubs located around Porta. de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flugplatz_Porta_Westfalica
