The sgraffito on this iron trading house, which was first mentioned in documents in 1593, shows the town surrounded by a solid defensive wall with towers and gates. An ox cart is transporting grain to the "Scheibbser Traydmarkt". Cart drivers bring rough iron from the Eisenwurzen with a heavy team of horses, and a cross wagon made of woven willow delivers charcoal for iron processing. On their way back to the Erzberg, the cart drivers will take "provisions" such as grain, lard and must with them. The horse-drawn carriage takes nobles to the Carthusian offices in Scheibbs.
