This stone basin manufactured in granite was placed near the entrance part of the ditch. Two ditches of which level is 40cm apart from each other are connected. The inside of the basin is cut out in the shape of half-moon which makes water remain there. There is a trace of carved dragon motiv around the edge of the basin. On both side of the basin, a stone wall was erected with large flat stones to make a space.

(Scale: Basin length-2.5m, width 6m.)

They designed to gather running water to make a waterfall of which water runs into the pond. Donggung palace and Wolji Pond was composed of a unique landscape with a wide variety of changes.
