Isola Serafini is a fluvial island on the Po river, located across the territory of the municipalities of Monticelli d'Ongina (PC), Spinadesco (CR) and Castelnuovo Bocca d'Adda (LO). Its surface area of 16.05 km2 makes it the largest island in the Po river basin, as well as the second in Italy after Grave di Papadopoli.
The island is home to the Carlo Bobbio hydroelectric power station[4], which produces energy by exploiting the difference in height created by a double dam.
