The old railway line between Göttingen and Dransfeld has fortunately become a cycle path, but it can get quite muddy in wet weather. Above Göttingen, just before the path enters the forest, if the visibility is good, you can get a great view of the Leine valley and Göttingen through the gaps in the vegetation.
