Mountain biking
The tradition of rock throwing is still alive today. Every year on July 22nd, the festival called fašinada takes place, when the locals throw stones into the sea in order to increase the size of the island.
In 1452, the first Catholic church on the island, Gospa od Škrpjela, was built. The current church dates from 1632 and was renovated and expanded in 1722.
The two islands, like the entire Bay of Kotor, have been a UNESCO World Natural and Cultural Heritage Site since 1979.
