The Maria Grotto in Oetingen, a sub-municipality of Gooik in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant, is an artificial cave located on the corner of Kasteelstraat and Kerstraat. This cave, dating from 1871, is one of the oldest Lourdes caves in Flanders. It was built by Baroness Maria Peers de Nieuwburgh following her devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The cave was restored in both 1976 and 1993. The Maria Grotto is today the property of the Parochial Works of Oetingen. The location, structure, appearance and installation with fencing create a protective environment for the visitor. The Maria Grotto is located on the route of the Holy Trinity procession, also known as the Kester horse procession.
