Sassenberg has a beautiful church tower, but above all a wonderful ice cream parlor 🍨. A huge selection of ice cream flavors and a variety of cups.
It's definitely worth a stop. The next time I visit, the ice cream parlor 🍨 🍨 will be at the top of my list.

Sassenberg is a really beautiful town in the Warendorf district and is especially popular because of the 🍨 Zanella ice cream parlor.

The foundation stone of the Sassenberg parish church was laid on April 24, 1670. On May 1, 1678, the church was consecrated by Prince-Bishop Christoph Bernhard von Galen. Under von Galen, Sassenberg gained its princely palace status, which was reflected in the impressive church. Until the beginning of the 20th century, the parish church had only a small turret instead of a tower. On June 29, 1914, after High Mass, the tower, with its crucifix and rooster, was completed. The old Baroque portal was reused on the north side. The church tower offers a distinctive focal point in the rather monotonous neo-Gothic church landscape of the Münsterland region.
