The weir in the Elz near Wasser offers an attractive view: on the left side (downstream, i.e. on the southwest side) there is a fish ladder made of large stones; next to it is the footpath and cycle path on the dam; in the middle of the river there is an island made of stones and gravel with trees; upstream the view goes to the Wiesenbrücke; in the background the mountains of the southern Black Forest rise up with the Kandel.
