The Bertzit Tower is an investment ruin in the north of Kahla, a district of the southern Brandenburg municipality of Plessa in the Elbe-Elster district. The tower was built in the 1920s in the immediate vicinity of the Ada lignite mining mine and was part of a lignite refining facility.

An industrial monument of a special kind. So-called investment ruins already existed at the beginning of the 20th century. Lignite was to be refined according to a new process for a nearby open-cast mine, but this never worked and the tower was never completed.
Still a landmark and worth a visit.
