The Schaumburg Forest is a forest that stretches from the border between Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia near the Bückeburg district of Nordholz in a northeasterly direction to just before Wölpinghausen at the foot of the Rehburg Mountains. The historic border forest lies in the North German Plain, reaches a maximum height of about 75 m above sea level and has an area of around 40 km². It is mainly located in the Schaumburg district in Lower Saxony.
