Designed by Jaime Azinheira, it was inaugurated in 1997, in honor of the robust and enterprising woman from Póvoa, who has always had a preponderant place in the fishing community, developing activities deriving from fishing, such as selling fish and repairing nets, as well as other daily tasks, such as managing the home and looking after children. This monument, which dominates the waterline of the cove, evokes the fish market, and is led by a group of women in full swing.
