At the time of the introduction of the Reformation in Lüneburgischen in the winter Fallingbosteler Lieth Ilse von Idingen is attacked by two wolves. The knight William of Cram slays the two wolves with his sword and thus saves the life of the young woman. Friederike Fricke already reported in 1921 in her book "A Pagan Narrative of the Ages" about Ilse von Idingen. Today, a sign at the end of the Wolfsschlucht reminds of the killing of two wolves in 1526 and the heroic rescue of Ilse von Idingen.
