Hiking

High up on the natural rock wall into which the Punta Rossa battery is built, you suddenly find yourself standing in front of the largest gun emplacements on the island: a huge, new-looking concrete wall surrounds two connected rotating areas with a diameter of 13 meters; the inner recess alone, in which the guns were attached to countless threaded rods set in concrete, measures more than 5 meters in diameter. The wonderful panoramic view of the sea, the bay and the rugged mountains of the Sardinian coast is also impressive.
