    In the old village center Trittaus stands the listed and as
    Cultural monument registered Martin Luther Church, so named since its naming on June 30, 1968. Originally it was dedicated to St. John.
    The oldest, today known message about a church in Trittau dates from February 10, 1239; On that day, the provost Bruno of Hamburg assigned the nunnery in Reinbek both the Reinbeker church and the house of worship built by Reinbek in Trittau.Further information about the history and updates:

    A very nice brick church building, first mentioned in the 12th century, was repeatedly expanded and converted. It was called St. John's Church for centuries before it was rededicated in 1968. The tower is 45 m high and was added in 1888.
