In this area used to be the medieval harbour of Amersfoort. The street name 'Havik' can therefore be translated as 'Havenwijk'. The oldest mention is from 1390. Now it is no longer a coming and going of ships but a place where you can see many beautiful monuments and facades. Sitting on the canal you really imagine yourself in the Middle Ages.
