CINI CASTLE: Overlooking Monselice, at the foot of the Colle della Rocca, stands an architectural complex called Cini Castle which brings together different types of buildings.
The oldest part dates back to the 11th-12th century. Starting from 1405, after the advent of the Serenissima Republic of Venice, the Monselicense complex was purchased by the aristocratic Venetian Marcello family who undertook the construction of CA' MARCELLO, a palace connecting the pre-existing structures.
In 1935 the property passed by inheritance to Count Vittorio Cini, a man of great intellectual refinement, who undertook a careful search for furnishings (furniture, paintings, carpets, tapestries, ceramics, musical instruments and fabrics) and weapons , recreating inside the castle the ancient medieval and Renaissance atmosphere that still welcomes visitors today in the residential rooms and in the vast armoury.
