A peaceful and pretty village on the banks of the Loire with old terraced houses on the hillside. The site is part of a very beautiful marked walk along the Loire and offering remarkable views of Champtoceaux.

Stroll through the narrow, flowery streets of the village of La Patache, a total change of scenery which gives the charm of this atypical village with its terraced houses on the hillsides. As you stroll through the heart of the village you will see the flood scale, proof of the numerous and mischievous floods of the Loire.
You will certainly come across “Patachons” there who will be happy to tell you about their pretty village.

For fishing enthusiasts, this is the ideal place.
Formerly called "Port-Hamelin", this small village of fishermen and boatmen is today called "La Patache", from the name of the old disused boat which was moored there and which served as a customs office for the surveillance of the river and the transport of goods which was once installed there.
