Even if the Renaissance castle itself looks like a building sin of the 19th century, at least from a distance, the castle park is worth a detour. From the terrace of the north side you have a wonderful view over the Elbmarsch. At the foot of the hill on which the castle rests, there is a small lake with an island, which can be reached via a wooden bridge. There is also a bank, which invites you to rest.
The landscape park renounces almost completely on the usual visual axes and lawns and conveys a haunted impression with its dense vegetation.
From March to 3 Advent, the castle café has also opened.

A detour to the castle is definitely worth it. The park itself is beautiful.
