Rühlow was always a pastor. In 1496 the priest was called Hinrich Hoppenrat. A church visitation 1661 found the church building newly covered, the chair work was still missing in part because the soldiers had burned it. Next to the church stood a wooden tower that was in need of repair. Even then Glienke and Sadelkow were branches. The church is a late medieval, formerly towerless boulder building from the beginning of the 16th century. The stepped square tower in the west is modern (around 1875).The pulpit altar of 1735 is an outstanding piece of Louis XIV's sumptuous style, clearly contrasted by austere, smooth, supporting parts and richly ornamented, ornamental accessories.
