In 1832, the then landowner Otto von Dewitz wanted a landscape garden based on the English model. For this project, he was able to win over the most important landscape architect of the time - Peter Joseph Lenné. The park within the former estate and the present-day village of Krumbeck proliferated forty years in the GDR until it was extensively renovated by committed residents and landscape architect Stephan Pulkenat in 1990. Since then, the park has presented itself with originally planned planting, bridges over the streams and picturesque ponds. Restoring the original face was not an easy task: excavations were necessary to reconstruct the old network of paths, the wooden bridges had to be rebuilt and the family tomb of Dewitz was also restored. In addition to the park, the building complex consisting of the church, manor house, courtyard buildings, smithy and estate of the gamekeeper was also extensively renovated. The picturesque park, which is privately owned, is once again a gem waiting to be discovered.
