During the Thirty Years' War, the village suffered heavy losses and its population declined sharply. It wasn't until 1687 that some farms were resettled, while others remained uninhabited. In the centuries that followed, the manor house changed hands several times and served various purposes. After extensive renovations, it is now used as an external living group for the Christian Youth Village Association of Germany (CJD).
