The Seebach lock is an interesting water crossing and regulated the water inflow of the Seebach for the canal. The Schwarzenberg canal was fed with water from 27 streams and the Plöckensteiner Lake. Three artificial reservoirs were created to secure the water supply.

Here you can marvel at the engineering skills of the time at the Schwarzenberg canal. At the top, the water flows northwards along its original course over the Vltava and Elbe into the North Sea. The canal (watercourse below) changed the natural course so that wood could be floated across the Danube to Vienna.
