Růžov is one of the deserted villages in Belsko. At the end of World War II, German and American troops fought in these places. This event is described on an information board at the site of the clash, and a memorial plaque on the remains of one of the houses commemorates the names of two fallen American soldiers, members of Patton's 3rd Army. The story has also been made into a film.
