After more than 80 years she is back in Hamburg for the first time - it looks like: forever;) A proud ship - THANKS to everyone who restored it so lovingly.

The "PEKING" is a four-masted steel barque and was one of the famous Flying P-Liners of the F. Laeisz shipping company. Like three quarters of the sailing ships of this shipping company from 1877 onwards, it was given a name starting with "P", analogous to the nickname Pudel of Sophie Laeisz, wife of Carl Laeisz. Built for the saltpeter voyage to South America, four of the Flying-P-Liners are still preserved today: the "POMMERN", the "PEKING", the "PASSAT" (located in Travemünde) and the "PADUA", which is now "KRUZENSHTERN." " called.
