    Hiking

The most frequently photographed ceremony facility on Easter Island.
The complex is easily accessible to tourists (about 15 minutes walk from the city center Hanga Roa) and the evening scenery on the western horizon.
A really nice place, in many ways, worth a visit.

From Wikipedia: Moai (actually Rapanui Moai Maea "stone figure") are the name given to the colossal stone statues of Easter Island. They are part of larger ceremonial complexes (Marae), similar to those known from other areas of Polynesian culture. The exact age of the figures is disputed, but it is now considered certain that they are no older than 1500 years. Sebastian Englert numbered and catalogued 638 statues, the Archaeological Survey and Statue Project from 1969 to 1976 identified 887, but there were probably originally over 1000.[1]
