Anyone who climbs the Pico Bejenado from the La Cumbrecita car park (note: prior reservation required at the visitor center at the entrance to the national park! Or online via the reservasparquesnacionales.es website) via the signposted alpine hiking trail will be rewarded for their efforts with views deep into the caldera. It is worth taking a pair of binoculars with you. They are a perfect way to observe Roque Idafe, the Zona Acampada and the entire hiking trail from Los Brecitos to the caldera near Dos Aguas. Don't be put off by cloudy skies. That can change by the minute!
