The front western bridge belongs to the Heiligenstadt–Schwebda railway line and was a branch line in Thuringia and Hesse with route number 6734.
The rear eastern bridge belongs to the Leinefelde-Treysa railway line, the so-called Kanonenbahn and was a branch line in Thuringia and Hesse with route number 6710.
Both routes join or separate depending on the direction of travel at the Sankt Frieda junction, approx. 1300m before the former Frieda viaduct.
