Trennfeld is a district and district of the Bavarian market Triefenstein in the Lower Franconian district of Main-Spessart.
Separation field was first mentioned in 1017. Emperor Heinrich II donated the village of Streitfeld to the diocese of Würzburg.

In 1818, Trennfeld became an independent municipality in the Triefenstein court through the Second Municipal Edict.

In 1821, Trennfeld came into being through the incorporation of the Triefenstein district court into the Kreuzwertheim district court, from which the royal court and police authority Kreuzwertheim emerged on October 1, 1848 and the Stadtprozelten district court was created in 1853.

In 1862, the Marktheidenfeld district office was formed, in whose administrative area Streitfeld was located as a municipality in the Stadtprozelten regional court. In 1939, like everywhere else in the German Empire, the term district was introduced. Trennfeld was now one of the 47 communities in the Marktheidenfeld district (license plate MAR). When the Marktheidenfeld district was dissolved in 1972 during the regional reform in Bavaria, Streitfeld came to the newly formed Main-Spessart district (license plate KAR, from 1979 MSP).

On December 31, 1977, Streitfeld had an area of 9.58 km². Trennfeld has been a district of Triefenstein since May 1, 1978. Separation field had a population of 1,107 on December 31, 2017
