The hut is located at the foot of the Oisternig, near the Maria Schnee alpine chapel, with a view of the Julian Alps and the Dobratsch. Below the summit you can see a bunker complex from the First World War. The Feistritzer Alm is a stopover on the Via Alpina, which runs along the Austrian-Italian border.
The rustic hut is located below the summit of the Oisternig on the Via Alpina on the border with Italy. Hikers, day-trippers, mountain bikers and families with children enjoy Carinthian specialties, home-style cooking and homemade pastries in the large guest garden.
