We were lucky and the church was open because palm leaves were being brought in for Palm Sunday tomorrow. The old sacristan was really nice and wrote something in our pilgrim's passport and tried to tell us something about all the saints in the church, even a little about himself... as far as we could understand it with our non-existent Portuguese. But he tried very hard and we could understand a lot of it.
