The basalt hilltop above the village of Roßbach, affectionately known as the Häubchen (Little Cap), is 325 meters high. Once you've conquered the steep climb, a breathtaking panoramic view of the Westerwald heights awaits you on the small platform. To the west, you can glimpse the Rhine Valley and see as far as the Eifel. To the north, you can make out three peaks of the Siebengebirge (Seven Mountains) like mountain dwarfs on the horizon. A sign explains the names of the peaks and towns below. You might even spot Walburg Castle, hidden in the forest.
