They mean it when they say challenging, it's worth it though if you are into that sort of thing. I got stopped by some MTB riders at the top astonished that I had ridden up. It's a brutal climb that is longer than you would have thought possible. Pretty consistent 20-25% for the entire 1km

The climb up Crowcombe Hill is an absolute killer on the legs but if you make it to the top then it really is worth it. I stopped once halfway up but I feel really proud to have done it especially as I broke my collarbone 4 1/2 weeks ago. Great ride that I’ll do again, hopefully in one attempt.
