The church of San Christobal was built by the Spanish in the 16th century. It was built over an indigenous sacred site.
Over time, the church has been renovated and redesigned several times, but it has retained its original architectural style and structure. The ceiling construction is made of cactus wood.

The two-story bell tower at the gate is also particularly interesting.

The church can usually only be viewed from the outside. It is only open for church services on Sundays.

The church is an eye-catcher in the town. The roof is covered with reeds and clad inside with cactus wood.
