The almost three and a half meter high curved stainless steel sculpture “The Path” by Tony Cragg is located on Munsterplatz in Remscheid-Lennep.

The artist, Tony Cragg, a native of England who has lived and worked in Wuppertal for many years, refers to pilgrimage with this sculpture. This sculpture is “a depiction of a path that winds over a topography”. The reference to pilgrimage is geographically appropriate, as the Bergisch Way of St. James runs through Lennep.

Due to the polished, silvery stainless steel, the sculpture appears to shimmer in many facets and gives the newly designed square a special atmosphere.

More sculptures by Tony Cragg can be found in the Waldfrieden Sculpture Park in Wuppertal, a 14-hectare site where sculptures by Tony Cragg and selected artists enchant in all seasons.

A beautiful sculpture that represents the path of every person's life. I took a break at the square and was very lucky that a city guide came by with a group at that very moment and explained the sculpture. It's worth taking a look at.
