Station 3 of the “Archaeological Hiking Trail” at Eisenberg. There are some “iron ponds” here on the eastern slope of the Krötenkuppe. They mainly come from late medieval iron ore mining in the 15th and 16th centuries. Century and modern alum extraction from the 17th century.
