Unlike the ancient walls that adorn the mountains and moorlands of England, these walls were built by Chinese immigrant workers who quarried stone to pave the streets of SF in the late 19th century. Found at, and close to the summit of Mt Burdell.

The stone walls along the Ridge Trail on Mount Burdell were constructed in the late 1800s by Chinese laborers, who sourced and shaped cobblestones from a quarry near the summit.
