A Pietà from the 19th century has stood on a new base in a niche in the southern outer wall of the tower of the old St. Mary's Church since 1936. It is a replica of a sculpture by Wilhelm Achtermann (1799-1884) from Münster Cathedral. The original colored copy once stood on the north side of the old St. Mary's Church, which was demolished in 1927. It was part of the former cemetery where the dead around the church were buried until 1813.
